A Questioning Skill

Question and answer occurs in our daily life. The question is aimed at getting information. Questioning motivate students learning. There are two kinds of questioning namely Basic Questioning and Further Questioning.
The function of the questioning are as follows:
  1. to create student's motivation and curiosity
  2. to concentrate student's attention towards a topic or a concern
  3. to diagnose student's difficulties in their learning
  4. to develop student active learning
  5. to give the opportunity for the students to assimilate information
  6. to bush the student to express his/her ideas (in discussion)
  7. to evaluate and measure the learning achievement
Something to be considered in questioning are:
  • warmness and enthusiasm. Warmness and enthusiasm can increase student's participation in class.
  • Verbal and non verbal reinforcement are needed.
  • Teacher's attitude, style, voice and action will show whether there is warmness or not.

How to be a Good Teacher?

Are you ready to be a Teacher?
Followings are requirements for a Good Teacher:
  1. Master in the teaching materials
  2. Master in the teaching presentation
  3. Master in administrating Evaluation
  4. Master in conducting administration work
  5. Have good personality as a Teacher
And then to be a good personality as a Teacher
  • be nice, friendly and helpful to your students
  • be discipline in doing your work
  • make careful and clear planing before working
  • be careful in doing everything
  • speak gently and politely
  • be democratic strict, just and wise
  • love your work
  • have motivation to help student to learn successfully
  • dress well and neatly
  • respect your superiors, create good relationship and work cooperatively with your colleagues.
